Welcome to Round Robin Traveling PC Swap

The goal is to send out postcards, and eventually have them come back to you, so postcards are obviously sender's choice. It can be anything you want, including home made or advertisements as long as it is sturdy enough to mail, and fits USPS guidelines.

If this is your first round: Write your own name and address on the "deliver to" side of each post card, add a postcard stamp or 48¢, and write the name of the swap on the message side. You will then send it to your partner in an envelope. Please also add a little note or something to the envelope to make it obvious who should get credit for each swap of the round.

Reminder (related to some complaints): You are responsible for adding stamps to your own starter cards. If you do not put a stamp on it, it is not your partner’s responsibility, so you may not get your card back, or if you do get it back, it may come postage due. If you receive a new card with no stamp on it, you may notify the partner that send it to you and give them the option of mailing you stamps to add to it. Otherwise you may continue to send the card around and then when it is full, it will be posted to the original sender postage due by the post office.

If you participated in previous rounds and you have already received your swap from any of those rounds then you must pass them on to one of your partners in this round.

Once you have received a swap, you add your name, username, city, state, date, outside temp, and a very short note or quote to the message side of the card, then hang on to it for a future round. (Sign up deadlines every Thursday) I've noticed many cards without the little added note/quote so please don't forget this, it is an official part of the swap Seeing all the places it travels is cool, but its even nicer to receive the little messages from all the swappers.

It is possible that when a new round starts you may not have received a swap from the last round and that is A-OK because you can just start a new card, and when one from a previous swap does eventually show up, you will have them ready for the next round. Make sure you mail by the deadline of the swap round, even if you have to do all new starter cards!

If weekly rounds are too fast for you, you may sign up for every other round. The cards typically don't make it to their destination until after the very next round is started anyway, and I don't want to exclude anyone that is unable to join weekly rounds. Please sign up for at least every other round. PLEASE NOTE: the swap mail by deadline is part of the requirements. Once you are assigned partners you must mail to them by the deadline, if you don't have enough cards to forward, you must start new ones in order to meet the deadline I've noticed several of the swaps I've received are mailed several days after the deadline and while I may not rate down for this, your partner has a right to rate down if they choose, and I don't want anyone to be rated down because of a little confusion on how the swap works. Please let me know if you have questions.

I think it will be fun to have multiple post cards traveling all over the country, and because the swaps will have multiple partners and fast rounds, they are more likely to return full and in good condition.

When a PC is full send it back naked to whoever's name is on the address side. Please leave a little space at the bottom of the PC for the USPS barcode they print on.

If you no longer wish to participate but you still have a PC from a previous round you can contact and mail them to me, and I'll get them back into rotation. Please do not send a half empty card home Please be kind and keep cards in rotation.

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT hold an older card just to start a new one. These will be fast swaps and its likely that we will find that we frequently get full cards to send back to their owners. So you will have plenty of chances to get more of your own started in the rotation. You may send a new starter card in any round just so long as the partner receiving it is able to forward it along with just 1 standard 63¢ (64¢??)first class stamp. That means the envelope holding the postcards can not weigh more than 1 ounce. So if you are already sending your partner 3 travelers and adding a new starter takes it over 1 ounce, that would require them to add extra postage and this is NOT allowed. However, if you only have 1-2 travelers and adding a new starter is still less than 1 ounce, it is fine to add any time - regardless of how many you already have traveling.

Because we have 2 partners, please pay attention to who's names are on the cards. Please do not send one to a partner that has already signed it. We may not always be able to prevent this, but its worth the effort to try. For example if I am your partner, and I've already signed all of the cards you have, then start a new card to send to me and then send your other cards to your other partners. If you have a card that has already been signed by both of your partners, then hold it until the next round. This is the only time it is acceptable to hold a card.

Extras are sender's choice and NOT required. That being said, I have gotten some pretty great extras and I feel like we must have some very generous and kind swappers in this group and I appreciate the extra effort so many of you put in to this swap. I am thankful to have found such a great group of swappers.
