I have never made this type of thing so I'm not sure I'm comfortable joining, because I don't actually know for sure if I can make something of adequate quality. I might experiment a bit this summer and post results to the forum for feedback.

What a fun & creative swap! Thank you for hosting in the group!!

I have never made something like this and I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone with the first doll I've ever made so I don't know that I can participate this time. It has inspired me for sure though and I will make some attempts on my own and see how it goes :)

Totally understand the hesitation. But the great things about monsters and creatures and such is, they do not need to be perfect. ;) In fact they are better if they aren't, in my opinion. Block dolls and domino dolls are easy beginner type dolls. You just use a mm&l type image(s). Here's a quick video.

And for anyone else worried about what they can create, you can always make it before the sign up date, and see how you feel about your creation before you join.

Can it be a plush type of doll? More of a stuffed animal type of thing? I have really been interested and have made a few stuffies before! I am not so good with clay or molding with my hands though sadly:(

wolfeagle 06/30/2022 #

Yes, absolutely. You can totally make sewn, stuffed, crocheted, or any combination of mediums.

I’ve never done one, either, but am excited to try!

I'm so glad so many are giving it a try. Have fun!

Everything about this swap intrigues me. I hope my partner will let their joy of creating just run wherever it leads. I will appreciate any sort of doll that I receive. I love all kinds of art dolls!!
