Description:

Hello Dear Friends,

I have a simple swap idea for our journals that was inspired by our fabulous Hester (pynart2). She so generously gifted me with playing cards featuring relevant poets of our time. I dare say, some I am not at all familiar with and hope to change that straight away. So, I am thinking we could make each other a simple pocket or envelope decorated minimally as well, inside let us pen a poem or even a stanza using our best penmanship and featuring the work of a relevant poet. Below you’ll find a list of the ones dear Hester introduced on her cards as well as a suggestion for some simple pocket designs. I do hope you’ll join me in this exploration. Yours truly ~ Leandrea Wallis

Poets: Walter Scott, Percy Bysshe Shelley, John Keats, Robert Burns, Thomas Moore, William Blake, any other Georgian era poet you’d like. ——————————————————————————————

SWAP

Please create an envelope or pocket for a journal - here are 3 easy pocket examples simply decorated.

Then include a beautifully handwritten (if able, otherwise a print in a beautiful font) poem or part of a poem from your choice of poets. Add a few decorative elements to the the envelope/pocket for your partner to create a pleasing presentation. The size is completely up to you, just make it relatively flat and in a mailable size.

Hope this brings you joy! Both in making and receiving- please do let us know if you have any questions or concerns. ~ Anna, Jane & Nickalli
