Description:

Drewzel has kindly given me permission to do the next round of this as she is a bit busy at the moment. Details are more or less the same as previous swaps but slightly tweaked:

If you're like me, you love magazines from overseas, whether they be craft, fashion, decorating etc. ...But they cost lots to buy!

So I thought we'd have a swap with 1 partner of a magazine from their country, or if you're both from the same country, a magazine you want but can't get your hands on.

This is an international swap, everyone welcome. Post your magazine preferences in the comments so your partner knows what you like...eg. I like sewing, Japanese craft, and decorating. If you have any preferences regarding the language your mag is in, post that too but English will alwasy be acceptable - other languages only if your partner understands them or posts that she will accept them.

I know magazines can be heavy, and this is an international swap, so if you choose to post surface/sea mail -it costs less - just msg your partner and let them know it is posted but will be a while getting there. If you do try and send sooner than later.

Newbies are welcome- no need to message me. If I think your ratings are suspicious, I may ban you also. Email me if you need to let me know what's going on. Thanks.

Any questions, please get in touch.

Happy swapping.

Looks like fun! I'm open to anything though if I have to put preferences: Quilting (I want to get into that sort of things so just a magazine with an article in it will do) and any other craft! I mean seriously; I'm easy to please!

Prefers English, but will take any language if it's cheaper for you - but please translate one or two of the articles for me? Hehe. Also; I'm fine with my partner sending surface mail, as long as they contact me first. I may send surface myself, depending who my partner is. :)

subscribe to Quilters Newletter, Quilting Arts, Down Under Quilts, New Zealand Quliter Oprah Magazine, Australian Patchwork and Quilting, British Patchwork and Quilting, Sunday Times Travel and Yoga Journal ( gosh that's a lot when I list it like that!!) so none of those please. I like intelligent woman's magazines, current affairs, food and cookery and travel. I can speak a bit of German

sewmad 05/ 7/2007 #

I'm definitely IN, helen ;)

I've already subscribed to Craft:zine and Threads.

I'm interested in sewing, knitting and quilting magazines from everywhere. I can only read english and german, but I also sew from japanese magazines and recently enjoyed finnish ones, so there are no restrictions!

I subscribe to Good Food but that's it.

Would love any Food, Knitting or Womens mag's.

If within the USA and Canada I'd like a cooking or recipe magazine, for anything outside the US and Canada a fashion, entertainment, or family type housekeeping magazine.

Looking forward to this Swap, I'm a magazine addict!!!

embryonichappyperson 05/16/2007 #

I like gossip magazines mostly, like the latest on the stars and what dirty lil' things have been caught on camera. I like magazines like Cosmopoliton and ones like that to.

user6740 05/17/2007 #

I am newly subscribed to Crafts Beautiful and Simply Cards and Papercrafts!

I thought my last post needed MORE: Any crafts, photography, quilting, food, womans magazines, photography, hair and makeup magazines...Anything else, ask -- I'm not usually fussy :)

user8366 05/30/2007 #

user8366 05/30/2007 #

Finally! I've always missed deadlines in the past for magazine swaps. Preferences: decorating, fashion, desserts/ baking (as long as there are instructions in English), DIY/ crafts, scrapbook.

American subscriptions I already have: Domino, Lucky, Blueprint, ELLE, Saveur

Lindy 06/ 2/2007 #

This sounds really interesting. I enjoy any art or craft magazines but only speak English.

mordfiddle 06/ 4/2007 #

Any craft magazine would be nice, but no gossip ones!

user8803 06/ 6/2007 #

any fashion magazine :) in english please .

toiletrollart 06/ 8/2007 #

I only have one subscription (Craft) so would love any (English-language preferred) magazines covering - fashion, shopping (like Lucky), lifestyles (like Domino, Blueprint), food and general crafts (esp. Japanese). I usually get sucked in to paying $12 for US imports so this is a welcome swap!

Hi! I'm from Italy! This is my first swap here on swap-bot and I'm exited, I'm a crochet freak so I would like any cool crochet magazine, japanese crochet magazine would be a dream! I don't like amigurumi. I like Zakka style projects. I fancy InterwaveCrochet, Adorn,Vogue Knit, Craft, Noro Yarn Magazine... old magazine are great for me too! I don't like sew and seed beads. I can swap Creare ( a cool life style/craft italian magazine, lots of great pics and ideas), knit magazines in english, and beading magazine in italian but with diagrams! I would swap even 2/3 magazines! Thank u!

birdbeth 06/ 8/2007 #

I like cool craft magazines but no knitting, crochet or quilting please. I also like travel magazines, lifestyle, house magazines or anything with really great pictures. I prefer non-U.S. magazines since I already get so many of them! Also any non-U.S. vegetarian magazines. Any language is fine. I'm going to London later this summer so if you find anything having to do with London I would love it!

user6740 06/ 8/2007 #

Oh, no fair -- I'm too poor right now to participate :( I hope I can catch the next one -- I was looking forward to this one!

SueFitz 06/11/2007 #

I like craft, gardening mags

lkforman 06/12/2007 #

I just wanna say that it cost me $12 to mail my magazine to United Kingdom!! Wowzers was I surprised...apparently there is a cheaper way and I didn't know about it..

ollieotson 06/18/2007 #

are you making another one? i missed this :\

francophile77 06/20/2007 #

The cheapest price I got for sending mags from USA to Spain was $11, using the USPS Priority envelope. My original packaging would have set me back $18! This is not a cheap swap, but I sure had fun picking magazines for my recipient! :o)
