Swap Requirements

• Create a Matchbox MINI Embellishment Kit or Purchase the plastic Picture Hanging KIT
• The matchbox inside dimensions are 3" x 4.5" and 5/8" deep. The tutorial shows how to make 6 compartments. You can divide your box to fit your embellishments. Minimum 5 compartments, but no more than 8.
• Fill each compartment with craft embellishments. Some ideas are below for inspiration.
• The matchbox or plastic box cover MUST be decorated. You MUST use at LEAST 2 embellishments that you are including to send to your partner in your decoration.
• Include a swap card with the following information:
  • Swap Title: YTPC: MINI Embellishment Box KIT
  • Your Full Name Name
  • Your Swap Bot Name
  • Date Sent

• ephemera pieces, die cuts (handmade or store bought)

• wood or metal embellishments, buttons, paper clips, mini clothes pins

• sequins, bling, beads, charms

• ribbon, trim, twine, jute, washi samples

• handmade embellishments bows, flowers, rosettes

• Cut paper at 5 ¾” x 4 ¼”

• Score on all sides: 5/8” 

Compartment Divider:

• Cut paper at 3" x 9 1/4"

• Score along 9 1/4" side : 5/8", 1 7/8", 2 1/2", 3 1/8", 4 1/8", 4 3/4", 5 3/8", 6 3/8", 7", 7 5/8" and 8 5/8"

Smaller Divider:

• Cut at: 1 1/4" x 5"

• Score along the 1 1/4" side : 3/8"

  • Cut at 1" (smaller width compartment) OR
  • Cut at 1 1/4" (wider compartment)

Box Cover:

• Cut at 4 1/2" x 8 1/4"

• Score along the 8 1/4" : 2", 2 5/8", 5 3/4", 6 3/8"
