I've been getting questions about bag swaps, so I created a file that shows a typical bag layout. Here's the link:

Bag Layout

With Tamawi's permission, I'm creating a U.S. version of her ongoing Sticker Bags Across the World swap.

For this swap we will each send one partner 3 new or established stickers bags. You will either…

A) Make 3 new sticker bags,

B) Send 3 established sticker bags or

C) Make and send a mix of 3 new/established sticker bags.

Option A:

Make 3 small envelope/flat bags that each have the following, then send them to your partner:

  • A batch of loose stickers inside

  • An area for signatures and dates

  • A label with the rules of the bag (This is up to you, but an example is "Take 2 stickers and add 4 new stickers. No teacher reward stickers. Sign and date this bag. Signer #5 send home.")

When you receive sticker bags from your partner, see if one bag has one signer remaining (homer). If it does, follow the rules on the bag and then send it home to its recipient. For sticker bags with more than one signer remaining, follow the rules on the bag and wait for a future swap to assign you a partner.

Option B:

Gather 3 established sticker bags with at least one signer and mail them to your partner. Confirm each bag is not signed by, created by or for your partner before sending. One homer is allowed (meaning your swap partner will be the last signer who sends the bag home).

When you receive sticker bags from your partner, see if one bag has one signer remaining (homer). If it does, follow the rules on the bag and send it home to its recipient. For sticker bags with more than one signer remaining, follow the rules on the bag and wait for a future swap to assign you a partner.

Option C:

Gather 1 or 2 established sticker bags with at least one signer. Confirm the bag is not signed by, created by or for your partner before sending. One homer is allowed (meaning your swap partner will be the last signer who sends the bag home). Make 1 or 2 new bags from a small envelopes/flat bag. The new bag will have the following:

Discussion

I was wondering about the out of usa ones.. someone sent me more than 3 and a bunch of international ones. I guess I'll be messaging future partners to see if it's ok if I include one international one.

Ok, thanks for clarification. I can't remember which round it was when I got several and international so i can't pinpoint the person.
