TBR: Banned Book Week!

Do you have any books on your TBR that are BANNED BOOKS? Now is the time to read them - or let them go. :) This is only for books currently on your TBR, sorry.

Banned Book week this year is Sept 27-October 3. Let's be BAD and read some BANNED books! :)

For this swap, read ANY banned book, from ANY list. There seem to be hundreds if not thousands of lists, and some are specific for certain countries only. I'm NOT going to challenge you about if a book is on the banned list or not - nor should your partner - because there are just so many lists out there!

For this swap, you will plan to read ANY book from the banned book list(s) during the week. IT can be a new read or a re-read. Audiobooks are fine, and if the graphic novel specifically is on a list, that's fine too. Really, the idea is to be BAD and read a BANNED book. :) :) :)

Please try to read the book during the banned book week, not starting at the beginning of the month. If you can't finish the book in time - that's ok. Just let your partner know what you think of the book so far and if you plan to finish the book or not.

Before the send by date, send your partner(s) an EMAIL and tell them the title and author of the book. If you can find WHY the book is banned or challenged, please include that. Some lists aren't specific, so if you can't find it, that's ok.

Then, tell you partner what you think about the book - just a few sentences is fine. Do you think it should still be on the banned/challenged list?

You don't have to include graphics or the summary of the book, a review, etc - that's extra, if you wish. You just need to list the author and title, the reason it's banned, if you can find it, and what you think about the book, if it should still be banned.
