Hey, fellow humans.

Brought back this whimsical swap due to demand.

Let's enjoy and be good to each other. =)

WHAT YOU ARE SENDING

A postcard with one random question and your answer to it.

You will have three partners.

INSTRUCTIONS

Visit Random Question Generator and receive your question. On a postcard of your choosing, answer the question honestly. Ideally, your answer would be a paragraph or two in length.

Don't forget to write the question out so the recipient knows what you're talking about.

If the question is too personal, it's OK for you to choose another one. Just hit "next question" within the generator.

NEWBIES

I'm sorry, I won't be hosting any newbie-friendly swaps this summer. An influx of people have signed up due to the pandemic but some have disappeared or flaked. I'm not sure if they're unwell or if their locations have opened back up again and they can't juggle swapping with daily life.

Whatever the case, I'm conserving energy to just check profiles with less than 5.00 ratings instead of investigating each new person and starting a conversation to ensure they're of good faith and will follow through.

Thank you for understanding.

RATING AND REMINDERS

To receive a 5 rating, you are sending a postcard with a random question and your answer to it.

  • Swap for the love of swapping, not ratings, hearts, or comments. If you wish to send extras, that is up to your discretion.
  • Postal systems are like people. Some will be fast and some will be slow. Others are on time. If you haven't received your mail yet, send a message to the sender before losing your patience and rating a 1.
  • If you have a a 1 rating on your profile, please have an explanation on your profile or you can write something in the comments below. If you prefer privacy, send me a message.
  • Always include the swap name and your id.
  • If there's anything else, send me a message.

Thank you.

Store bought postcard only?

Or can it be handmade or a used greeting card front about the size of a standard PC?

Watching.....

@institches I'm OK with a handmade postcard as long as it's something you would be happy receiving yourself. Sincerely and truly happy to receive yourself. But I do not speak for others so you may want to check the recipients' profiles or send them a message to ensure they're OK with a handmade postcard.

I'll have to pass then unfortunately. I only have 1 PC. I'm not going to drive 40 miles to buy 2 postcards to mail when I have alot of card fronts that I do use when I send something as a PC already.

I was looking at the swap more as the question than what the postcard looks like.

Now curious, do participants even keep/collect the postcards from this swap?

I collect the postcards i receive from swaps/penpals. I also scrapbook my swaps too. I love looking back and seeing what i have received over time and from where. For me as long as it is a nicely homemade pc im cool. I have a few that are homemade

@institches For myself, I am always okay with hand-made PCs, even if the swap requires store-purchased ones. Unfortunately, you can't be sure of getting me as a partner. I am passed the point of collecting PCs for the photo's sake. I have a couple thousand of them, in shoe boxes, that I have never gone back and looked at. I occasional pin up an exceptional one in front of my computer desk. As I look at those now, most are hand-made PC and ATCs. It is the messages I most enjoy.
