Canada: hello neighbour

As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. Therefore, it makes sense it requires a village to maintain a human adult.

Let's introduce the ones within our physical proximity, because, well... pandemic.

WHAT YOU ARE SENDING

A letter or notecard about your neighbour. Just one. You can interpret it as one person or one family. Sender's choice. However, only use first names. No last names.

Answer two of the questions below. Please write out the questions in your letter or postcard. Otherwise, your partner won't understand what you're referring to.

• What's the last conversation you had with your neighbour?
• What's your neighbour's most interesting quirk?
• What's a good deed that happened between you? (Either you did the good deed or the neighbour did. Or maybe both of you helped someone else out.)
• What's your neighbour's hobby?
• Describe your neighbour's appearance.
• What's the last item you gave your neighbour?

NEWBIES

While I understand the need to maintain the dignity of a swap and assure participants no one will flake, it's important to give people a chance to prove themselves.

Newbies, to participate, you must have at least fifteen lines on your profile. I will check before assigning partners. Thank you.

RATING AND REMINDERS

To receive a 5 rating, you are sending a letter or notecard with your neighbour's first name and two things about your neighbour from the question list.

• Swap for the love of swapping, not ratings, hearts, or comments. If you wish to send extras, that is up to your discretion.
• Postal systems are like people. Some will be fast and some will be slow. Others are on time. If you haven't received your mail yet, send a message to the sender before losing your patience and rating a 1.
• If you have a a 1 rating on your profile, please have an explanation on your profile or you can write something in the comments below. If you prefer privacy, send me a message.
• Always include the swap name and your id.
• If there's anything else, send me a message.
