Description:

Crochet one bookmark for one partner using bedspread weight (#10) or finer thread. Use any color and design of your choice.. It should be similar in size and shape to a standard rectangular bookmark (around 1" x 5" or larger). See my example above. You can Google “free patterns thread crochet bookmark” for ideas. This swap is INTERNATIONAL. A bookmark is light and will fit in a regular-size envelope so postage costs shouldn’t be a factor.

No crocheted corner-type bookmark or cord-type place holder type for this swap. This is a learning experience for some of us so please include some info about your bookmark - (1) brand/weight of thread, (2) from a book/website/original pattern, (3) method of blocking and type of stiffener.

Experienced crocheters also welcome, of course. The picture above is my first attempt at a bookmark (crocheted yesterday). Not technically perfect, but a decent first try, I hope.

Blocking brings out the beauty of the stitches, so block (and stiffen, if needed, to hold shape). Here is a link that has some good info about [blocking and stiffening] (http://www.crochetmemories.com/crochet7.php). Sorry, for some reason this didn't work - you can cut and paste address. I will try again later.

Must have rating of at least 4.8 and no recent no-sends, 1s or 3s. Must have logged in week previous to assignment of partners. Please PM me if you feel you have unfair rating. Newbies considered with fully filled-out profile and a PM.
