"Open when letters" were one of the best little surprises that my friends gave me one birthday. Instead of doing this for a birthday occasion I've decided to do an around the world swap. I will add a link to a blog post I found from 'One Girl In A Massive World' who goes through and shows you the open when letters she made for her friend. You can also find some amazing examples on Pinterest. http://onegirlinamassiveworld.blogspot.com/2014/11/open-when-letters-for-my-best-friend https://www.longdistanced.com/open-when-letters/ Minimum requirements for the swap: Min 5 'open when letters' (This does not include the 'open when...you receive this') One envelope with 'open when...you receive this', in this one, you will introduce yourself to your partner, tell them a bit about yourself, your week and what you do for self-care. You can also add any other 'about me' sort of things into this envelope. Each 'open when' envelope must include one letter with advice of what to do when they are sad, happy, having a bad day etc, as well as a small goodie to cheer them up or go along with this. IT IS UP TO THE SENDER HOW PACKED THEY MAKE THE INDIVIDUAL ENVELOPES Open When Ideas 1. it’s your birthday you need a hug. ( Send cutouts of your hands connected by a ribbon or string, the length of your arms. It’s a mailable hug!) you’re stressed out. you need to smile. you need a laugh. you’re feeling goofy. ( Include the dorkiest knock-knock or inside jokes you can think of.) you’re feeling down. you need strength. you’re bored. you’re having a bad day. you’re having a great day. (Include a mini banner or a small bag of confetti.) you are celebrating an accomplishment you don’t feel loved. you don’t feel respected at work. you don’t feel needed. it’s Christmas. Note: - all above are just ideas that you can choose from if you are struggling with what to do. - This time around, the minium rating requirement is 4.50 |
