Description:

You will create one flip book for one partner.

Due to postage costs I can only do a US version for this one, I apologize. If someone would like to host a global version please contact me to make you an officer!

This tutorial can be used as a reference in how to create a flip book. It is not required to make the same flip book the exact same way or size, it is only a reference.

Flip book requirements:

  • Use a strong adhesive or strong tape to attach pages together or items to the book. If using washi tape, apply a thin layer of glue between tape and paper (refer to video at 4:52 and 10:26) otherwise the washi tape will start to peel up over time and book will fall apart.

  • Since this is a Tim Holtz group, of course your book should primarily be using Tim Holtz products and vintage/rustic/grunge style! All pages and flip-ins must be decorated in his style.

  • The book must consist of at least 4 double-sided pages using officially branded Tim Holtz papers. Each page should measure 5"x5" (or bigger) and each page must "flip". (A flip book will have more than one binding so that pages flip whereas a regular book has one binding so that the pages are turned.) Refer to video starting at 2:15 for this.

  • Once your flip book is constructed fold it up and determine the front and back cover. Decorate the front and back cover in TH style.

  • Three separate pages must contain a pocket. Refer to video starting at 3:50, 10:46, and 15:58 for ideas how to make a pocket.

  • One page must have an envelope adhered that fits the size of the page. Refer to video at 5:47 for ideas.

  • There must be at least two additional items that "flip". Refer to video at 7:51 for ideas.

  • Tuck in 3-4 TH inspired items in each of the three pockets and the envelope. Suggestions: washi samples wrapped on a non-stick surface, vintage ephemera, tags, finished or blank ATCs/twinchies/tags/coins/etc., ribbon/twine/jute samples, ideaology embellishments, grungeboard diecuts, handwritten notes, TH stampers anonymous images...

  • Send your flip book (on time!) to your partner in a sturdy bubble envelope or thin box to ensure it arrives safely.

If you have any questions please message @choke for quickest response!

As always, if you are flaked on I will angel provided you have rated your partner a 1.
