Dear ladies,

Our numbers have grown in our little village of Amberleigh so I thought it only right and proper that we should have another swap to get acquainted. For this swap, you will have one partner and to that partner you shall write a letter introducing yourself. To clarify, you will not be writing in 18th Century character, but as yourself. We will embrace our 18th Century alter egos in another swap, do not despair. In your letter, please discuss what drew you to admire the Georgian/Regency Era and if there is a specific interest, such as a person, or a piece of music or literature that has meaning to you please elaborate on that subject. A letter of one page both sides should suffice, or more if you would like to. The object here is to get to know the other ladies of the group so we are more of a community. With your letter, please enclose a small keepsake. Just a little token of your friendship such as a bookmark, a poem you admire written in a nice hand or perhaps a vintage handkerchief. Do not limit yourself to these examples, but rather let them inspire you to send something that will make a lovely remembrance to your sister Georgette. Let us write something genuine that will allow a kinship with our partner to arise. Responses are entirely up to you; do reply to your partner’s letter if you are so inclined.

I have handwriting that's not always easy to read. Does any one have a problem with a printed letter?

Drachenfrau 04/ 3/2019 #

I have no problem with it. :-)

no problem PolkaDotty, there are some lovely old fashioned fonts in word document on the desktop, for you to embrace if you wish to give it 'feel of the handwritten'. Hope you will join our swap : )

I'm fine with a printed letter Leslie, as Jane recommends, there are many pretty fonts available to make your printed letter look more personalised.

I am also fine with it. I think an inked letter is nice, but there are so many lovely fonts also. Either way I would be happy to receive either.

I missed out on the fun due to a flood in our living room. Please let me know about your next swap.
