Description:

The new year is usually about setting new goals. While I don't believe you have to wait til the beginning of the year to set goals, it is a common practice. And I thought it would be good to share our goals with our group members! We can also do updates throughout the year, to help us all keep on track! :)

This will be a type 2 swap, and it will be International. It will be lightweight, so it shouldn't be too costly to send. :) You will have 1 partner to send to.

In a letter or notecard (typed or handwritten) share at least 3 goals you are making for yourself for the 2019 year that relate to reading or writing. Are you challenging yourself to read a certain number of books? Or a certain genre? Do you have a writing goal for yourself? Do you hope to start a journal or do creative writing? Do you want to challenge yourself to reply to your letters in a certain amount of time? Share those goals. :) If you have goals not related to reading and writing you may share them with your partner, but please be sure to share at least 3 goals related to reading or writing.

Manual filter as this is a group. :)

Questions or comments, please send me a PM Hope you will all join! :)

Watching and DEFINITELY - I mean, I'm definitely going to sign up for all, but this one I'm really excited about. Because I DO want to be more purposeful in my reading life!

watching but I don't really have any goals. Haven't thought of any yet.

@SparkJoy - my goals from 2018 were to reply to letters w/in 3 months of receiving them, and read more bestellers (that was a BAD idea!). So it can be just about anything. I mean, if you want to set a goal to write in a journal every day, that counts.

I never made resolutions or goals because I felt like people didn't really KEEP them, and I didn't want to be a sheep like that. :) But over the last year or so, I've found that goal setting can be helpful, even if it seems small.

Setting a goal on Good Reads to read so many books a year counts too. :)

Journals, letters, books .... I'm so predictable!

response to pic - haha, and a proper Minnesotan be like, gear up, hop on the snowmobile, and make it to work on time!
