Description:

First round of the new year! Time to mix things up - if you've joined in the past, please take a careful look for the changes this time around. :)

This is a type 3 swap due to the time for writing the journal entries.

I"m starting with the requirements so we are clear! If you don't meet the requirements and sign up without contacting me first, you risk being banned from the swap. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but I want to keep those who sign up for my swaps safe from flakers and drama

I send out emails regarding my swaps. Please check your email! Even spam and junk! If I send you an email, please respond, or you may be banned from the swap.

Swap Requirements

You need a rating of 4.98 or higher, NO 1's or 3's since Feb 2017, and 20 type 3 swaps completed and rated. If you do not meet these requirements, please message me and state your case. If you do not have enough completed, rated swaps, I may be willing to do a private swap with you, but do not sign up without contacting me if you don't meet the requirements! Attention to detail! I will angel this swap Responding to my emails IS a requirement for my swaps! If you do not, you may be banned. I prefer to communicate through email, and it's my swap, so ... :)

Any questions, concerns, comments? Please PM me. I typically assign partners before noon (EST) the morning following the sign up date.

The idea Thank you to@AmericanHeiress for allowing me to build on her idea in the 'shared journal experience' swap series.

You may join as many or as few rounds of this collected journal swap as you wish. You do not have to participate in them all. This IS a journal themed swap, but for this swap, you will write (or type) the entries (see below) and mail only those pages to your partner.

Each sheet you use should be standard 8.5x11 (US) or A4 sized paper. Please leave a margin on the edge and top so your partner can fix it into a binder if they wish.

To keep postage costs down you may use the front and back of one sheet for your entries (see below), and you may neatly fold the page(s) to fit into a standard size envelope. Pages do not have to be mailed flat. If you wish to write more, longer entries, or use only one side of the page, that is completely fine. The minimum requirement can be met on just one sheet of paper to save on postage costs.

SWAP DETAILS

For each round you will send 1 page (minimum): You can send longer entries if you wish, but the MINIMUM will be 1 full page, typed or handwritten. It is broken up like this:

Part 1 will be a short biography of you, at least a half page, but it can be longer. More than just "my name is, my birthday is, I live here". This entry should be about YOU and YOUR life, YOUR interests. This is not the journal entry, this is your introduction!

Part 2 will be a journal entry of your day, at least 1/2 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more, that is fine. Please date your entry, though!

Part 3 This entry should be a FULL page, and can be the back side of the pager containing the first 2 parts. This entry will be a journal prompt reply. Here's the twist - When you sign up, write a journal prompt in the comments below! Once partners are assigned, look for your journal prompt in the comments section, and write about the prompt your partner has listed. If you are unable to write a FULL PAGE on the prompt your partner has listed, you may finish the page with the prompt I have listed, but to meet requirements, you MUST write about the prompt your partner has listed first!

You may decorate your pages if you wish, just be sure they are still able to be clearly read. :) If you choose to add pictures or items, they shouldn't take the place of your written entry. This is, after all, a written journal.

VERY IMPORTANT There are several rounds for this swap :) You need to include your swap-bot ID and the name of the swap & round number with the page(s) you send so you can be rated.

You will send those 3 journal entries to your swap-bot partner. :) If you get all 3, you rate them a 5. :) Hearts, of course, are up to you. You can then collect the entries in your binder or folder and add to it with each round.

This swap will be International, and you will have 1 partner.

My prompt: How do you keep yourself organized? Which methods have you tried? Or, are you looking for a new method to organize your days, your home, etc?

kgeslab 12/14/2017 #

Can you fold the pages or must they be kept flat?

USAFwife 12/14/2017 #

@kgeslab thanks for asking. In the paragraph that starts "To keep postage costs down..." I've noted that you may neatly fold the page(s) and mail in a standard envelope. :)

My prompt: What are some of your earliest childhood memories? Can you remember your age at the time? Good, bad, funny, strange.. Are there any memories that still pop into your head for no apparent reason? Are there certain smells, tastes, sounds etc. that trigger the memory?
