Description:

This swap keeps the Christmas spirit with us all year by sending each other holiday postcards every month; If we get enough participants, we will send one card each to two (2) partners. Otherwise, you will have only one partner. You must have a well filled out profile and a rating of at least 4.98 to join this swap.

This is a swap for Christmas postcards that need to be store-bought or VERY NICELY handmade. The cards are sender's choice but it's nice to take a look at your partners' profile and then send a postcard that is just right in color, love of animals, would like Christian card or would prefer a generic postcard with sleds, snow, ice skates, decorated tree(s), warm fireplace, etc.

I hand-make some of my cards by recycling the fronts of the beautiful cards I receive each Christmas. It is still an easy swap and saves a bit of cash for me and gets me into the “reduce, re-use, recycle” plan to help save a little bit of our environment. So, NICELY DONE handmade cards of that sort are OK, and are sent stamped and with a written note (i.e. naked)'

If there are things you don't want to receive such as religious cards, please mention it in the comments below and/or as part of your profile. Also, when you prefer written/unwritten in an envelope, mention it in the comments below. If you have a handmade postcard that cannot be sent naked, contact your partners first, and ask if they agree with an envelope. If not, you'll need to keep that for another swap and stay with guidelines outlines above.

IF ANYONE RECEIVES A HANDMADE card that is not up to high standards described above, contact ME first so we can decide what to do. This also applies if you receive a shabby, ragged, old postcard. I love those and collect them, but this group is NOT for flea market, shabby, vintage cards. We are using brand new or very nicely handmade cards for these swaps. That does include new postcards that are done in vintage style. I use those often---but they are purchased new.

The next postcard swap is #100! That may be a good note to end on and go on to some new swap ideas since participation in these postcard swaps is so small. If you really want the postcard swaps to continue, send me a PM but be prepared to participate EVERY postcard swap.
