RM: 31-Day Photo Challenge

Hey Everyone! I thought we'd try something a little different and break out our cameras. Whether you're a novice or pro, using a cell phone or DSLR (or, you know, if you're kind of hipster and reverting back to actual film...), let's have a challenge!

I know that we'll be starting this in the middle of October, so disregard the dates on the image below. Just count it as 1 - 31 days from the swap start date. Or, feel free to start before partners are assigned. As long as you have all 31 photos representing the prompts below, you're good. Bonus: If you don't like up to two of the prompts, you may substitute whatever your heart desires to capture that day BUT you must label that photo as a substitute for the day. Remember though, you can only substitute two prompts so choose wisely.

The Details

• 31 photos, printed out on photo paper (minimum 4x6 - no wallet sizes or Sprockets!), arranged in an album, and sent to your partner.

• Ensure that each photo is labeled on the back.

• Many photo printing kiosks give you the option to have a white or black border around your photos when printed. These borders are perfectly fine so if you like them, print them!

• Photos should be discernible images. Images that are way over or under exposed or so blurry that you don't know what you're looking at are unacceptable. Other than that, each prompt is up to you to interpret (within reason!) and take. We understand that everyone's level of photographic talent varies. :)

• 1 partner.

• One photo album with your photos to one partner.

• Send on time, rate promptly upon receipt. If you're going to be late, please let both your partner and myself know. A reminder that flaking and not rating are both grounds for instant removal from this group. Hearts are entirely at the discretion of the rater. Late sends without communication are grounds for a 3.

• When rating, please keep in mind that the prompts are open to individual interpretation and that not everyone is a professional photographer. If you receive a photo album (sent on time) with 31 photos, labeled on the back, and they are discernible images, the swap should be rated a 5.

• If you are flaked on, please let me know. After you rate a 1, I will angel this swap and the flaker will be barred from the group.

• This swap may be started on before partners are assigned. You have until 30 November to send.
