Description:

For this swap you will create one 8" x 10" (minimum) masterboard to send to one partner.

You will be required to add:

*Texture

*Color

*One additional element of choice (You can repeat one of the two required elements using a different technique.)

Two more requirements are:

  • Your base should be at least as heavy as a cereal box.

*Your base must be white. (If there is interest we can do this again, switching base colors / technique requirements)

It should easily fit into an 8.5 x 11 envelope to mail flat.

That's it. Have fun!

If the texture we add is colored, or the color covers the whole page, how is it important that the background is white. While I have made many masterboards (just did not call them thta) I just am not understanding how I should makeTHIS masterboard.

Ok, my thought process in adding the white was this. Many people use cereal boxes to create masterboards. Adding paint / gesso will strengthen the thin cardboard.

I struggled with making a certain # paper as a base. I use 120# or 140# cold press watercolor board as a base so it can be sent as a postcard or stand as an ATC after adding info. but everyone does this differently and no one way is right or wrong. I was just trying to consider everyone's methods.
