Description:

I create seasonal altars on the Equinoxes and Solstices. All four of them are astrological points, starting with the Spring Equinox at zero degrees Aries, Summer Solstice at zero degrees Cancer, Fall Equinox at zero degrees Libra, and Winter Solstice at zero degrees Capricorn.

This year, our Northern Hemisphere Spring Equinox is Monday, March 20, 2017 and on the 22nd in the Southern Hemisphere where they celebrate Fall.

What I like to do, is clear the Winter altar, clean it by wiping down all the wood and washing the altar cloth (a symbol of Goddess' dress). I clean all candle holders and ritual items, also clearing their energies. Then I set up for the new season.

My Spring altar might include a different Animal Spirit Guide, some new candles, different crystals, shells and containers.

For this swap, please send your partner at least one item for an altar. Suggestions for Spring include and are not limited to: Pastel or white candles; a light colored Crystal; a Spring-themed altar cloth; a small Besom/Broom; Spring-themed essential oil; blank Ritual Journal.

Do not feel limited by these suggestions, however, whatever you send should touch your partner's spirit. HOW? Please look at their profile for some insights. Some are scent-sensitive or have other allergies. Some are vegan and would not welcome animal nation by-products in any form.

Also, when you sign up, you can add comments below the swap so your partner knows your preferences. For instance, is your altar round, square, rectangular? Do you light incense or prefer not to have fire or smoke? Do you light candles and if so, what kind? What is your greatest wish to see on your altar?

Send on time. Include a note with swap details (say why you sent what you did), the group, swap name, your ID. Rate when you receive.

I have several altars. One is a short rectangle. One is 20" round. Fire is represented by candles in our home, from those 7-day in a glass to votives or tealights. I really like small (under 6") stuffies of spirit guides I work with. I don't know who is coming to work with me for Spring so I am open to receive.

I'm planning on having silk flowers, light colored and clear crystals and stones for air, a large conch sea shell for water, a glass bowl of salt for earth, and 'something' for fire. (Haven't decided on that yet.) I can't do candles or incense because Steve is allergic to smoke. My altar is a large antique traveling trunk that people used to take on ships. I put my altar supplies inside it. It sits in front of the unused fireplace (the smoke allergy thing). For Spring, I want to accent Air. I'm thinking butterflies, birds, feathers, etc.
