Description:

I don't know about you but I love sitting down with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and knitting my little heart out. So why not a swap with a hot beverage and a knitting pattern?

This swap is open to US swappers only - if someone would like to set up an Int'l one or a crochet one for either, please feel free to do so.

1) You will have 1 partner

2) You will send 1 knitting pattern (purchased, please, not a freebie off the internet) that is either for a pair of socks, a scarf, a pair of mittens or a cool hat. Senders choice on the pattern and level of difficulty.

3) You will send either 6 teabags, 1 small coffee package (one pot package, you can get them at the dollar store for, well, a dollar) or 3 packets of hot chocolate. Senders choice of flavors unless someone has specific allergy.

4) You will meet all the requirements for a #1 Swap Botter to participate.

Please leave comment below your beverage preference. Also, let me know if the quantity I noted for the beverages seems fair, I'm willing to adjust. I'm not a tea drinker so I don't know what would be enough to equal the other items listed.

PM me with questions, thanks!

My preference is coffee first, hot chocolate second. But I'll drink either one that's available at the time I'm itching for a hot bevvy!

I love hot chocolate, like tea, and I don't drink coffee.

My Ravelry ID is 5elementknitr if you want to see my queue and my swap-bot profile has some patterns in my Etsy favorites. Don't think you need to go to all that trouble, though - I'm really not that picky and I love surprises!

I love all hot beverages...except the ones with red dyes in them. I'm allergic.

I don't drink coffee, but anything else will do. No artificial sweeteners please.

Can I make a copy from one of my knitting books? I don't want to cut my books up.

Also, I only drink decaf coffee and decaf tea. I don't drink hot chocolate.

evieroz,

I just left you a pm about this issue but wanted to note it here for others as well.

You were wondering if you could make a copy from one of your knitting books to send for this swap. I don't think that's legally allowed because of copyright laws (unless it's a volunteer/charity effort is what I'm now recalling). But also whoever you get partnered with to send the pattern to may have that book already. I myself must have about 50 knitting books plus a ton of pamphlets and booklets and would be very disappointed if I received a pattern from a book I own, yet I don't own many single purchased patterns.

Plus, I think to be fair since I do note that you should send a purchased pattern that we should leave it at that. If you'd like to participate I think it should be a single purchased pattern and not a copy from a book. I hope you understand all my babbling and still decide to sign up!

Take care, Patty

I prefer hot chocolate, flavored is OK. :)

My Ravelry ID is the same as here if you want to see my queue for pattern ideas. :)

Coffee is my first fave of the three but I love them all and would be happy with tea, hot choco or coffee all the same! :D

My ravelry id is iluvdandelions but I've just started being active there and don't even know what the queue is but will go check it out.
