Tiny 2D/Flat Plushy/Stuffy from A-to-Z Swap Round #3 Welcome plushy/stuffy fans! Okay, I have been waiting for a while now for a crafty 2D/flat plushy/stuffy swap. So I decided to start one of my own. This is an easy fun swap that everyone can do and no special supplies or shipping is needed. Just some creativity, a note with some information about the stuffy and a stamped envelope. Every 2weeks there will be a swap up for the tiny 2D/flat plushy/stuffy from A-to-Z. So if you miss a swap don’t worry about it, you can join the next swap in 2weeks. The swap will run in the order of the ABCs, and you will transform the letter for that month into a stuffy. September: Letters 3rd Swap C 4th Swap D October: Letters 5th Swap E 6th Swap F November: Letters 7th Swap G 8th Swap H Then I will pause the swap for the holiday season and continue it in the New Year. Example: Letter A, can be used to create an animal, apple, airship, or anime theme stuffy. Anything you can come up with go for it, be creative and have fun making your stuffy. Then when you are finished making the stuffy for your partner wrapped it up and send it off to its new home. You may use fabric from your stash, felt, scrap fabric, or upcycle fabric. You can add a little filling but remember the goal is to keep it 2D/flat, not 3D. Also don’t use beans or any type of filling that may rot when wet or start growing on the inside. Or avoid the risk and keep the stuffy 100% flat. Please use interfacing if you are going to use materials like silk or other very thin fabrics. The interfacing will give your finished 2D plushy/stuffy some body to the feel of it. (“Some body to the feel of it†is a saying my auntie used while sewing. I still use it as you can see.) Please try to keep your plushy/stuffy no larger than 3x5 and no smaller than 1 inch, so it can fit inside a regular 4x7inch envelope with one stamp. If you are a tiny plushy/stuffy master please feel free to send me a micro plushy/stuffy if you are my partner. :)ïŠ You can sew, paint, draw, embroider, glue, or stamp the face/other decorations onto the stuffy. You can create the stuffy by hand sewing, machine sewing, gluing or tying your stuffy together. You are sending your partner: 1.2D/flat plushy/stuffy inspired by the letter of the month made by you
If you receive an envelope with a plushy/stuffy inside rate your partner a 5. Extras are not required for this swap, but you can send them if you like. Just understand extras are all up to the sender if they do or don’t send them. One last thing please check your partner’s profile to make sure you don’t use materials that may upset your partner’s allergies. For example some people can’t come in contact with wool, pet hair or smoke so just keep that in mind. Plus checking your partner profile is just a polite thing to do when swapping. To join this swap:
Please contact me and your partner if you are going to send late or if any other problems/questions arrive. Remember you can always pm me and we can try to find a solution. Yes, I angel all my swaps, but hopefully I won’t have too. I will angel a swap after you have rated your partner a 1. Happy Swapping :) The pic above is an example of 2D/flat plushy/stuffy, I made for the picture gallery on flickr, but don't limit yourself to just the type in the pic. Show us your creative style. |
