Description:

Pick a SMALL cuddly toy that wants to go on a round the world tour.

Pop him in a box or envie along with a snack for the journey (you can have the snack if Teddy hasn't already eaten it!). Don't forget Teddy's home address too.

When you receive from your partner, take Teddy out for the day and take photos to send with him m in the box, and write a brief letter saying where Teddy went and what he got up to. Don't forget to write on the back of the photos where Teddy is!

Pop Teddy back in his box with his photos and a new snack ready to send on.

There will be five on these, so Teddy will go to five destinations.

(I say Teddy - it could be a bunny, or mouse, or koala ...)

Please don't join if you are not willing to complete the full series.

This is international, so please take into consideration the possible postage costs.

Definitely no flakers. If you have to drop out and can't complete all five rounds, please send the toy you have home to his owner.

Please rate your partner promptly when Teddy arrives.

Any questionable swappers will be removed (unexplained 1s or 3s in the last 6 months).

Please also message me to let me know you have received Teddy from your partner, and I will then set up the next round.

Love to do this but a shoebox is very expensive to ship from Canada to Europe and the same for them. Maybe a smaller box and smaller teddy?

I agree with Karmi53. A smaller box and smaller toy would be as fun as a bigger one, but more cheaper :)

sorry for the double post l know l sent two little bears three inches each to my mom in Malta in a envelope and it costed just over ten canadain dollars.

I did a similar swap once, but we made flat teddies out of paper/cardstock. We included a few outfits for different photos. Like, bathers for the beach, skirt and top for movies.

I also think that if you have a small toy, finger-sized or hand-sized, you can put him just in a A5 envelope, that would be much convenient and cheaper. But I would love to join if you changed this requirement!

The only reason I said a shoe box is because of tbe extras teddy needs to carry. But smaller box or envie is fine.

I know you have stated small teddy but just wondering if there is a size limit on the teddy to send as I will only be posting a tiny one to save on postage but if I was to receive a larger one that didn't fit in an envie (someone else's interpretation of small may not be small) then postage would be alot higher then what i was expecting. I've seen a few of these swaps that have had size limits on the teddy's sent

Cute idea, but I think the same for postage. Limit to beanie size or smaller?

Or it would be cute too if you used your own teddy for the pictures, then you would have different style teddies returning to you in the pictures.

Hi l went to the post office with my bear l put it in a small pizza box that is 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 2 inches it is going to cost me ten dollars in Canadian money to send any where in Europe they measure it even in a envelope they measure it. I don't think it is going to be any less then that. I will be putting everything in envelope and see if there is a difference in cost but l don't think so.

Teddy no more than 6 high.

Hi, I am just reading info on a few swaps today...I sent out 2 cylinders in the mail earlier this year to the same address, 2 different recipients...Easter themed contents...one was a 2 litre peanut butter jar and the other a small grated cheese jar (less than half the size and half the contents) they were both measured and weighed and both cost the exact same postage...Used regular Canada Post...nothing special. My point is that smaller and lighter does not always mean cheaper postage!
