Description:

I thought it would be fun to do a round robin letter along the lines of a travelling postcard but with a bit more text.

How it works:

If this is your first round:

Take one piece of paper (a5 or a4) Write the return address in the top right hand corner. Write an introduction - date, who you are, where you're from, what you're doing today, what you love. Write about a paragraph. Decorate the page if you like but remember people need space to write.

You then put the letter in an envelope and send it to your swap partner. I started with an a5 piece of paper.

If you've taken part before:

write a paragraph on the letter you have received before forwarding it on to the next person. Once your page is full it gets posted back to you.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Please do not join this swap if you can not commit to completing it. Round robin swaps rely on people partaking responsibly. No recent 3s or 1s. Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile.

If you decide not to continue with the swap please return the page you receive back to the original sender.

im not in this swap any more I was flaked on in the last round and there were also 6 other flakers.

spangleuk 05/20/2015 #

@purtie26 thanks for the comment. There are actually only 4 flakers and I am in contact with those who were flaked on in order to rectify the situation so that they can continue swapping. I presume you would like your letter returned if it is found?

Is A4 or A5 the standard 8.5x11 paper? This would be my first round and I want to make sure I have the right paper before signing up.

A4 is roughly the same size as 8.5x11; A5 is half of that (so, the size you get when you fold a "standard" sheet of paper in half).

Thank you for the info!

I missed the sign up for this round. When will the next round open?

Do you count a paper full when the front of it is full or when both sides are full?

inthewild 06/ 6/2015 #

I'm sending Katka's letter from R2 along in this round.

This is my first traveling letter and I understand my part regarding starting a new letter and sending it on to my swap partner but I just received a traveling letter in the mail. I imagine I write on that one as well, but do I send it to the same swap partner? that seems a little redundant. Also, it isn't full yet so I know I shouldn't send it to the original writer. Please let me know as soon as you can, I don't want anything going out late. I am sorry if I am just not understanding something simple.

HotTramp 06/ 8/2015 #

@pastryandprimer You have to keep the one that you received until the next round, when you will be sending it to your next partner :)

Gardener 06/ 8/2015 #

How often do you do these swaps? So I'll be alert for round 4.

pastryandprimer 06/ 8/2015 #

@hottramp thank you so much for the clarification!
