Description:

I love fairytales, and I have a childish delight in the pantomimes that are held at Christmas in the UK. I am unsure as to whether other countries have pantomimes at Christmas, but thought it would be nice to send a small Christmas gift to celebrate your favourite fairytale/pantomime.

So, you will have one partner to whom you will send a gift/gifts to the value of around £5/$7 that portrays your favourite fairytale/pantomime. It is senders choice as to what type of gift you send. It could be a book, a piece of jewellery, an ornament etc. Wrap it up nicely so your partner can save it for Christmas if they want. (if you save for Christmas, you should still rate your partner as soon as it arrives)

The second requirement is to send a Christmas greeting card with a note in to explain why you have chosen that particular fairytale/pantomime. It doesn’t have to be too indepth, but should be more than a couple of lines!

Happy Christmas!

Zoe, can the gift(s) be handmade?

Oh, and BTW I had no idea what a pantomime was. I had to Google it. So is it okay if our gift has nothing to do with a pantomime and just focuses on a fairy tale? Does that make sense? Thanks!

Hi @kiddo47 to answer your questions,.... handmade is more than okay, it is welcomed.

Most pantomimes are based on the most well known fairytales like Cinderella, Snow White etc. I wasn't sure how popular they were in other countries! Focusing the swap on a fairy tale is perfect.

Basically pantomimes take a fairytale and add a lot of humerous elements, and turn it into a play. In Cinderella the ugly sisters are usually played by men. They used to be considered a bit naff, but in recent years have become popular again, and a lot of actors love doing them now!
