For this swap you'll be creating 1 mail art envelope for your partner incorporating (at least) 6 of the following 12 elements:

  • a rose

  • a cat with a hat

  • something green

  • part of an actual seed packet

  • a whale or dolphin

  • a bird

  • part of a doily

  • a quote

  • an Asian image

  • a rubber-stamped image

  • faux postage

  • a fairy tale character

Inside the envelope you'll include an inexpensive flat surprise. Your envelope should measure at least 5" x 7" but larger is just fine.

If you've never created mail art before, take the plunge! It's a great creative outlet and anything goes. If you're already a mail art enthusiast, won't you join in the fun?

Hopefully nothing gets torn off by the post office. Do you actually mail it that way? Glue it tight ladies!

I go over my entire envelope with gel medium to ensure nothing gets torn/ripped off.
