Make that sweet dotee that we all love. This time do it in the fall colors with leaves, beads anything you want. Just make sure it is the dotee form with a hanger and leg on it (you all know what I mean). Google dotee dolls if you are a first time maker of these gems. Try to give her a name also when you send it to swapper. Due to postage I am making this just for Canada and the USA. Make one dotee for one swapper. Can be done anyway you want, machine or all handmade up to you. Be creative. Can't you see a wreath on your door with her on it for the fall. No bigger than 4-6 inches long now. Newbies welcome after looking at your profile, we all need a chance on a rating.

I would so love to join this swap, but sadly, my dotees are a tad bigger than 4 inches. In fact, most of the dotees I've received in swaps are bigger than 4 inches. It sounds like a fun swap, but I don't want to be penalized for my dotee not meeting specific size requirements. I hope everyone will have fun though.

How big are you talking about. I got one mermaid that was larger thaln 4 inches. Hate to knot have you join up if your dotee is a little more than 4 inches.

They are about 5 inches plus a tail... and the tail is varied lengths. You can see my dotees on my flickr if you go to my profile.

OK I have a question ~ What about the face? I usually make my eyes out of buttons or the cute google eyes with button nose and sewed on smile.Would that be ok for this swap??

I don't care what the face looks like, express it yourself. I have seen dotees' with clay faces. The original "Dotee" was an embroidered face but so many swaps have produced all kinds of faces so go for it. I am sure Dot of Australia who originated this idea won"t mind.

Nothing is exact. You are the artist. Most dotees I have seen or done are 4 inches and then the tail and hanger but it is up to you.
