This swap is to promote making and using cloth menstrual pads! I make cloth menstrual pads for sale on Etsy, and I love seeing women who take the initiative to make an item so necessary for our bodies. Cloth menstrual pads are reusable, not filled with plastic or chemicals and are so much more comfortable than disposables! Swap requirements: You need to make 1 cloth menstrual pad using the following material. Top (pick one): Cotton flannel Cotton terry Cotton cloth (like quilters cotton) Hand-knit/crocheted cotton Internal liner (the absorbency ~ pick one or combine): Cotton flannel Cotton terry Cotton Batting (needs to be quilted to top) Hand-knit/crocheted cotton Optional water resistant layer: PUL (polyurethane laminate) Polyester fleece Bottom: Cotton Flannel Cotton Terry Polyester Fleece Wool fabric Combine these fabrics to make an absorbent pad. You can use a serger, sewing machine or even hand sew it! Make winged or wingless. Snap closure, velcro closure or button closure! Use your imagination!
