Description:

I have discovered how to make my own 'washi tape', well, decorative tape that is very similar to washi.

This is an International Swap!!

This swap will give you the challenge of creating your own tape and swapping with a partner to get new tape!

Your choice in how to make it...

tissue paper, masking tape, fabric tape, double sided tape

Use mod podge for paper or ink, paint or marker directly on the tape.

Check out my Flickr pic above.

I used ink and stamps on 1" masking tape for these pieces.

Or check out videos on YouTube. Google 'How to Make Your Own Washi Tape' or 'DIY Washi Tape'

You will create 6 unique and well done pieces of tape no shorter than 9 inches... these should fit into a letter #10 size envelope.

Attach the tape to a piece of wax paper or other surface that the tape can easily be peeled off from, like a piece of plastic window from a package.

You will have 1 partner to swap with.

Have fun and post any questions you may have!!!
