Description:

For this swap you fill a tin with (small) craft goodies and send it to your swap partner. For example: pieces of fabric, ephemera, buttons, bottle caps, stickers, play cards, notecards, beads, punched flowers, paint, distress ink, rubber stamps, ribbons, masking tape, and so on and so forth.

The goodies must vary. You must send at least 5 different things, and your tin must be filled to the brim. You are not out of line if you send bigger goodies, but: If you send bigger goodies like a deck of cards, the tin will be filled quicker. That's okay. But it's your responsibility to send at least 5 different things. A tin full of stickers is not okay, no matter how many stickers you put in.

Tin must be around 3 x 2.2 x 0.8 inch, or 7,5 x 5,5 x 2 cm. Sizes may deviate a little but not a lot.

To participate you must have a profile in which you mention your crafts and tastes (for example: style, favorite colors, etc.). You must send goodies your partner will like and be able to use. Of course it's impossible to send things that are a 100% to another's taste, but we try.

The goodies don't have to be new per se, but they must be as good as new and undamaged.

Ratings of 4.8 and up. No unrated swappers, and no recent (or unexplained) 1s or 3s. No profiles without required info. No excessive amounts of Type 1 swaps after flaking to get ratings back up. I ban at my discretion. I will check.

You get 2 months to send your tin out.

Questions in the comments section. If it's urgent, I'll be happy to receive your PM. :)

is the 3 x 2.2 x 0.8 altoid tin sized?

Pouffia 07/24/2013 #

From what I understand measurements of altoid tins deviate a bit from what I mentioned. They are:

-3-13/16" (9.68 cm) long -2-7/16" (6.19 cm) wide -3/4" (1.91 cm) deep

which is okay.

So obviously big enough to fit paint brushes or a deck of regular cards if we wanted to right? Kinda like a lunch box size?

Pouffia 07/25/2013 #

There are shorter than regular paint brushes they sell as travel sets, but they're not easy to find. Probably should've mentioned that, I'll edit the swap. As for a deck of cards, you can use a tin that's slightly bigger and will fit a deck of cards, sure. However I think actual lunch box size is a bit too big.

Should you decorate the tin box? :)

Pouffia 07/26/2013 #

You can, but it's not a swap requirement. It is a fun idea for a next swap though :)

@Pouffia ....ok if I make a similar swap for U.S. only? I'd like to do a bigger tin as well.

@ladywolfsong go ahead
