Altered Board Book - Page 1

I start many projects but I don't always finish them. So let's work together and finish a project together.

My aim is save a few bucks and only swap photos thru email. And we'll start small. Find or purchase a child's board book - a book with thick card board pages. We will work together over the next few weeks to completely alter this book so that it is unrecognizable from it's humble beginning.

Take a snap or two of the "before" - maybe include a ruler or measuring tape so your partners know how big the book is.

You can start inside the book - page 1 - or you can start with the front cover, your choice. Is your book themed or just plain arty? Again, it's your choice. Just start with one page and we'll attack more pages in the upcoming weeks.

When you email your swap partners, please use "BCC" and add a description of the media you used, the techniques you tried and any links to blogs or videos that may have inspired you.

THIS is an email swap - you work on and keep your own book. So I don't need to remind you to do your best work. And PLEASE send photos that are oriented correctly so your swap partners don't need to turn their heads to see your work.

If there is enough interest, I'll start a Flickr group so all of the photos can be included. And finally, remember this is the Smash Book/Glue Book group - so USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE!
