Description:
I know I'm not the only one who loves and collects maps out there. ;) I have been collecting for a while all sorts of maps in anticipation of this swap. I did something similar with three partners earlier this year. I set the swap ending date so late for various reasons, but mostly to allow for more time for you to gather maps and the sign ups to join. Please send each of your two partners at least two different maps. It may be of your country, your region, your city, a local (or even non-local) state park, a tourist map, etc... In addition, please send your partner one postcard from your area. So- 2 partners Each partner gets: 2 maps, 1 local postcard Postcards may be handmade if you wish, but please check with your partner if he or she is okay with that.

I JUST picked up a couple local maps this morning thinking it would be fun to swap them! Now to find another and some postcards... ;)

Is there a minimum size for the maps? Do map postcards count?

@pne Since maps are so widespread, I'm going to say there's no minimum size. Preferably, at least one of the maps you send should be one of the fold up type that can get kind of large, however, I plan on sending my two partners an assortment of a few maps I have collected and they range in size dramatically (one is only 8 1/2" x 11", but then there are also a few others that are quite larger.

As far as map postcards go, that would be a nice extra if your partner collects or is interested in them, however, no, that's not what I meant when I wrote the swap. Good question, though!

Do we send the postcard separately or do we mail it in the package with the maps?

I am dropping since partners have not been assigned and it is 3 days past the last day to sign up. Plus the host has not logged onto swap-bot since June 13.

I'm droping out if the partners aren't assigned by tomorow :S - if that happens i would love to do a private version of this swap with anybody :)

I'm so sorry, guys! I haven't logged in for a few days because I really only have two active swaps and the other was sent at least a week ago. I have been super busy lately because I just recently picked up a new second job, and I was thinking the date for me to click on this was a few more days later. I apologize!! I have had the two packages for this swap set aside until it was swapping time, so it's ready to go.
