Matchbox peek-a-boo paper doll

I recently hosted a group swap like this and got hooked on making these tiny matchbox paper dolls.

Make your partner ONE matchbox doll where the doll legs are made from matches and they peek-a-boo from inside the matchbox when you open it. Here are the specifics:

• Alter a matchbox like the 32 count size that is 2” long. (handmade or store bought). You must alter the outside of the "tube" part, as well as the inside of the "drawer" part.
• Put a paper doll of some kind on the outside of the box. Not a sticker, but a doll you have cutout and attached.
• Glue matchstick legs on the inside of the box. The box should be able to slide open & closed for the peek-a-boo part. (TIP - check that the match head won't crumble and ruin you work, I like to remove the ash from the burnt matchhead for the feet)
• Add something extra to this tiny diorama to finish the scene – a flower, a charm, some words, some bling.... Embellish! Get creative! Let's make this a tiny piece of art to thrill your partner.

Senders choice! But it's always extra special to check profiles. This swap is USA only because a matchbox is too thick for regular letter rates and international package rates have gone too high.

HINT- There are plenty of paper dolls on the web that you can shrink down for this project. Of course, drawing your own paper doll is extra special! If you need help with shrunken dollies, just message me after joining the swap and I can email you a pdf file with a few tiny dolls I've collected from free sources.
