Summary: Batts that are comprised of miscellaneous fibers, whatnots, thingamagigs, shinnies, anything FUNky that can be spun into an off-the-wall yarn. I'm running this swap also through my blog (slightly different setup). Sign-up by: December 2, 2006 Due In-Hand by (should be in your partner's hands no later than this date): January 31, 2007 Max # of players: N/A RULES Please only sign up if you intend to follow through. 1) Batt should be comprised of miscellaneous fibers, whatnots, thingamagigs, shinnies, anything FUNky that can be spun into an off-the-wall yarn. - but please use common sense, don't send anything that is not spinnable, perishable, hazardous, illegal or unsanitary. 4) You should name or theme and label your batt. 5) Include a note with what materials went into your batt. You can optionally remain anonymous by leaving off your personal information on the label and/or note. 6) It should be at least 3 oz in weight (if you have weightier thingamagiggies in there, then please add more spinning matter into it for additional weight). 7) Batt can be hand or drum carded, but should be uniform. 8) You must have fun compling your batt! 9) It should be batt/roving or spinning fiber, meaning fiber that will be spun by your partner. 10) Send me pics of the batt before you send it and once you have completed spinning the batt you received. I will setup a gallery for this. NEWLY ADDED!!! Send me the pics of your batts before mailing them out. From those I will choose the funkiest and the person will receive 1/2 lb of raw fleece (breed received could be Dorset, Cheviot, Llama, or something else).

My send to partner was changed because of no profile, no send, so I'm hoping that the one listed here doesn't give me a bad rating for a no send to her. I did send to the correct partner.

I tried to email swap-bot several times about that both via email and their form, and tried to ban her from the swap, but she's still on there. If she does, I'll try to email swap-bot again. Hopefully, she won't.

I've only received pics of 2 batts - travellingrhino & Wooldancer (+ two others in the blog version of the swap, not including my own), if you'd like a chance to win the 1/2 lb of raw wool, please email me pics of the batts you mailed to your partner by Feb 16th. I'll pick the winner on the 17th.

flawful..talk about woeful!

at first i thought this was a joke.. till i realised that in fact this is actually my swap partners idea of a flawful batt for the swap. I don't dis.. no, i don't believe in it actually..up till now that is! what the Crap? seriously, this is not worth the postage paid for it.. totaly full of VM, straw, unskirted, poop..it's been scraped off the back of a garbage truck, & popped into a box..damn!! i was so looking forward to this swap too - despite the mention that i put a lot of effort into what my partner receives from me, like the general courtesy of actually reading thier profile, likes & dislikes, checking out their blog/flickr/etc to see what their stuff is like - & do the courtesy of sending them something that will Rock their Socks off - this pseudo 'corser than a horses tail' "fiber" (i wouldn't even grace it with the word) will not even excite my pet bedding.. what is that all about??.. do you care to explain swap partner, about taking the inside of a mattress lining & cutting it up & sending it to me as a "handcarded batt, full of spinnable, clean, fiber"? Not even a note, label, who it's from, NADA. & i just checked to see the profile of my partner & it's been deleted. i can't even leave a rating. it's a complete sham, to be quite polite. not. happy. jan. damn it! If you are my swap partner, please care to read the swap rules, & send something actually spinnable! i am rapidly losing faith in the swap community.

Hey Wooldancer was it from nanda? As we (I contacted swap-bot) and tried to have her removed from the swap, so Shayla was to take over sending to you instead of sending to her. If it was from Portugal it might be from Nanda. Shayla is sending from Minnesota, so contact her to see when it was mailed out, maybe it's still in transit?
