Description:

You will have 1 partner.

You will design 12 envelopes, 1 for each month of the year. Ex. Jan- can be a snow scene, Feb-hearts, etc.

Use plain envelopes, any size and design for each month. They can have color, but need to draw, etc on them.

So designed envelopes, draw for a holiday in that month and send. You can use markers, colored pencils and so on. You dont need to make the envelopes, but can as long as there are 12 designed ones.

Write a note telling your partner what design/holiday is for what month so they know. Ratings based on design for each month. You are not rating on their artisitc ability.

All major holidays are not mandatory. ex.- March- St. Patrick's Day we know, but also Spring starts. Just keep with the month's goings on.

No holiday in August, then u can do a summer theme. May, June and July can bed, red, white and blue to go along with the holidays in those months, but try and make them different. May can be dedicated for Mom's day and so on

Obviously you are not sealing or putting an address on, as your partner can use them.

**Please do not slap on a ton of stickers. Use your imagination and create.

Feel free to use monthly wacky and weird holidays Holidayinsights.com is perfect for ideas

Start with January for 2013.

I will give time for this one.

I am not a big fan of stickers on envelopes :/ are they allowed ?

rifkasorah 09/ 1/2012 #

Stickers are allowed. I would prefer more imagination.

Is stamping allowed?

rifkasorah 09/ 1/2012 #

Does each envie design have to reflect a holiday in that particular month? Like for Sept I was thinking a back to school theme.

rifkasorah 09/ 2/2012 #

no they dont have to reflect a specific holiday, but does have to do with something with that month - ex. june - father's day, flag day and graduation. sept - fall, back to school, labor day, etc

Awesome! That's the direction I was going to go but just wanted to double check before I got started.

can you use the wacky and weird holidays listing. There are some interesting holidays like Popcorn day in January, so many throughout the year

jannieb 09/14/2012 #

Great question! I'd like to know the answer to that as well @gma2jman

I would be excited if someone sent mine with fun holidays as well as just fun summer scenes in summer, winter scenes in winter etc. so I can use those envelopes anytime during summer, not just a specific month ;) Popcorn day would be a fun one anyway!!

I asked the swap coordinator & she said it was OK to use the Weird Holidays as themes as well. I think that will make for an even more interesting swap too.

This swap sounds like a lot of fun! I am brand new to this site - so was just wondering when and how I will receive my partners name/address....

PS...Not a fan od stickers either. :-)

I think it's a great idea. I have been meaning to do this for a while now. I have a lot of envelopes around my house and they are not all used at the same time. It is good to have some extra ones just in case one gets lost or if someone needs more than one. Visit this https://masterbundles.com/best-free-blog-templates-shopify/ site to download beautiful blog templates. I like this idea because it gives you an opportunity to use your unused envelope stock and make something useful out of it. You can also give the envelopes as gifts or sell them on ebay or amazon.

In the world of design, negative space design plays a key role in creating clean and effective visual compositions. Implementing this approach in our business was a real breakthrough. Simplifying the design and focusing on the most important elements led to improved user experience and increased conversions. Freeing up space allowed us to focus on key messages and products, making them more appealing and understandable. This method also contributed to a better overall user experience and increased time spent on the site.
