Art by Decade

This swap is a journal swap that will repsent the different decades of your life. If you are fifty, you will have five decades to represent, forty, four, etc. If you are in between decades, you choose the decade you are currently in to complete the project.

For each decade of your life, you will create an artistic representation of that decade through written words (i.e. poems, stories, quotes, narratives, etc). or artistic creations (i.e. pictures, collages, three dimensional art, etc).

For each decade you will have a minimum of five creations. So, if you are twenty your journal will have at least 10 creative pieces. If you are fifty, you will have a minimum of 25 creative pieces.

I believe the older you are, the more you have to share. I also believe that are can be beautiful and unique, so I am not going to say the 10 or 25 things have to be a certain size or dimension. That will be left up to the individual artist. Quotes sometimes can be one line, but if that line represents your life excellently then it counts. What you create around the quote or other item will also be rated, so please create something that is pleasing to the swapper.

I will only allow swappers with a 4.5 or higher to join the swap. I will provide a month time-frame following the sign-up deadline for the creation of the swap. I am also allowing internation swappers to join, so please think of the cost of mailing internationally when you join. It usually is around ten US dollars fo a journal to go internationally is I remember correctly.

I and my sister Serenity will also angel any swappers, so please join. I am excited about this swap, as I turned forty this year and thought about all that I have experienced as a testament of life's joy! EDITED PORTION: To encourage a few of the thinking about the swap to jump over to the swap, I will amend the number of creative pieces you need per decade. I will lower it to three items per decade. This will still be a very interesting swap, but reduce the time requirement for those who wish to join. Please message me if you have any questions!
