I feel like such a newbie asking this, but do you leave the back blank? Do you cover it? Just write your name and what not on it? Just curious.

I'm very new to ATC's and would really like to join this swap because I have a ton of playing cards to work with :)

i have a deck of cards that is in the shape ofa heart- would it be ok to alter these? or does it have to be standard card shape?

missychrissy 03/ 3/2008 #

Melodious: personally I print out on the computer the title, date made, Swapbot swap, put my name, Swapbot name and email address. As long as it is clear which swap it is for, and who it is from, you can put any or all of the other things.

JunkySweet: well, I've never seen any playing cards in the shape of a heart before, so if I was your partner to send to I'd be only too pleased to get them. However, it doesn't always work out that way. I set the swap with the traditional shaped cards in mind though.

ok well I will ask my partners when I get assigned, If you would like, I can send you a couple... I am just starting out making atc's so It would be happy to have a reason to make a couple extra!

That is very sweet of you Junky! I'd love to see some. Beware though - if you've only just started, they can become addictive!

Thank you so much! I can't wait to get started, I already have my set in mind :)

JunkySweet--if you're my partner, I'd LOVE to get heart shapped cards! I'll have to make them a separate page for my album, since I'm guessing they won't fit inside a standard page?

Missy--I love this swap idea! I was in the first one and so glad to see this one posted! Oh, I've seen egg shaped cards, how about you?

missychrissy 03/24/2008 #

Thank you gypsy, I have done a couple before and loved doing them. In fact, I have bought a whole deck of cards and am going to do the whole deck as altered cards just for myself! If I ever get time in between all my swaps, that is!

No, I've not seen egg shaped cards either. We only get the boring, rectangular ones in our shops!

Whenever I see a weird shaped playing card I buy it.I have a triangle and a oval shaped set of cards.Found them in a dollar store in the kids department.Love this swap idea. Can't wait to get started.

sorry but i'm gonna drop. the past 3 ATC swaps i've been involved in have been flakers. they had to ruin it for me :(

missychrissy 03/31/2008 #

PaperPassion - thank you, hope you've had fun making these.

Teamwang - I'm really sorry you've been flaked on in your last 3 ATC swaps. I am checking profiles very carefully and will drop anyone who hasn't fulfilled their commitments in the past. If you see this before partners are assigned I can assure you that I will do my best not to let anyone like that in.
