Fill a basket with an assortment of treats and Springtime surprises. Make it traditional with wrapping and bow. No limits on the number of items or the amount you spend, but the completed basket should weigh at least 8 ounces. The basket must be full, with contents rising above the top of the basket so it looks nice when it's all wrapped up. You may follow your partner's profile or just send a nice surprise.

To join this swap, you must have a rating of 5 and have completed at least 8 swaps of things through the mail. USA swappers only, due to the weight of the package. The dates are set so everyone will get a basket before Easter Sunday. Please mail your basket promptly because a late holiday basket can be disappointing. Questions, comments, suggestions? Please enter them below or send me a message. Happy Easter!

Are we talking chocolate and peeps or items from their profile? I can't wait to do this one!

and does "full" include the grass at the bottom, or should it be an empty basket? i've never filled an easter basket without grass, but i want to be sure.

I think grass is a MUST! You are right!

Candy is traditional for an Easter basket, so you can include it. If your partner's profile has specific likes or dislikes about food, you can follow them if you want to make the basket based on her profile. In any case, include some things other than food to make the basket have more variety.

Grass on the bottom is traditional, too, and it helps to cushion things during mailing. Using some is a good idea, but filling the whole basket with grass and then adding a few things on top wouldn't fullfill the swap requirements. I added the weight minimum for the basket to help avoid the overuse of grass!

Yea! I am so glad to find a easter basket swap!! I have a question, however! Does the basket need to be of any particular size? Or is it our choice as long as the basket weighs at least 8 oz or more?

My post doesn't sound that clear when I re-read it...I was wanting to know if the basket itsself had to be of a particular size, like a small basket, a medium basket, etc.

The size of the basket is your choice. You could choose a tiny basket and cram it full of heavier things or a large basket filled with lots of light things or something in between. As long as the basket weighs at least a half pound, not including the box that you mail it in.

The Easter Bunny left out this afternoon hopping a package across country and to my partner. He's delivering via USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation. Enjoy!
