Description:

I always start to feel a little uneasy when I'm in a room without any books. Do you know that feeling? I just can't imagine living without books in reach and I'm reading all the time - only when I'm driving I don't a book in front of me. ;)

And because I'm really curious, I would like to start this little eSwap. Take one (or two or three or four or five...) pictures of your bookshelf (bookshelves) and mail it to your two partners. Maybe with a little explanation... what books can be seen in the pic(s)? How much books do you own? Do you arrange them in any order or just slam them on the shelf? Tell me... uhm... your partners. ;)

Everybody is welcome - as long as they own more than two books. :)

I was just thinking of taking some pictures of our bookshelves and blogging about it. Now I'll have to!

I've found a way to read while I drive: books on CD!!!! At first I thought it wouldn't be the same, and it's not quite, but it's a really good substitute. I was going through a really busy period in my life and didn't have time to read and it was depressing me. If my imagination doesn't get a workout, my mind gets pretty dull. So I went to the library and started checking out books on CD! You can't get the latest bestsellers at the library but I bet there are a ton of former bestsellers that you missed, and then if you're like me, you enjoy the classics and there's no problem getting them.

Ok, sorry about the rant, sounds like a great swap! Wish I could buy more books but it gets so expensive. Luckily my city has recently re-vamped the libraries and now they're awesome--quite new books, dvds, cds, etc. And the facilities themselves are gorgeous: clean, well-designed and decorated, comfortable, well lit, all that good stuff!

@Beck I tried to listen to books on CD while driving, but then I tend to focus on what is read out to me and not on the road... so... to save my own and some other lives I stopped. ;o)

I'm really happy that you all like the swap idea so much. :o)

Beck, that's a great idea! I'll check the libraries to see if they have books on Cd's here :)
