Comment: The swap didn't meet posted requirements on several parts, with zero mail art on the front of a very small envie that was sent after the posted deadline and contained seriously mildewy lace (I’m clearly not the only person who’s had this experience with smelly stuff from her). What little mail art was arguably on the back of the envie was covered up by mailing labels - again on account of the envie being so small. When I contacted the swapper for a resend on the day I received it, she started arguing with me and spinning this whole story about how she supposedly had dropped off the swap on the day of the deadline (which was a Saturday) and that this was the reason why the postmark was 2 days later (interesting, since the envie had METERED postage from a city, which doesn't get put on an envie until the time you're at the counter to pay - I checked). Then she explained the lack of mail art by saying that her post office had apparently "scolded" her in the past and told her off for putting decorations on the front of her envies (also interesting since it's the first time I've ever heard this from anyone; I've received AND mailed envies that were literally covered - front and back - so this seems unlikely except possibly to account for any possible frustration on the part of postal workers dealing with people trying to cram decorations and mailing labels onto tiny envies). When I confronted her and told her that I knew she hadn't actually mailed the envie on the day she claimed after speaking to someone at USPS who pulled up the exact date/time of the transaction, she stopped responding. The swap coordinator then contacted me and asked if I would still be willing to rate her a 5 - as I had previously offered when I asked her to resend - if she would mail a new swap. I said I would. However, today, 2 1/2 weeks after the swap deadline, the swap coordinator sent me a message that she had to contact this swapper AGAIN and that the swapper told her she would supposedly resend "sometime in the next few days". It's been almost 2 weeks since I was told that a resend would be mailed, so this is gotten beyond ridiculous. I’m not interested in dealing with a liar, and it’s quite obvious to me that the only reason this swapper hasn’t been rated down before is due to overly generous swap partners in the past. NEXT TIME, DON'T LIE.
Response: I AM NOT LYING! This is all completely unnecessary. I stated that I would resend. Period & I will, not that that's what you really want, you seem to want to catch someone in something & destroy them, no matter what. None of this can be remotely called 'amicable.' As to your other charges (& you seriously want to argue with someone, this is obvious from your own profile & the way you've attacked me, in public, now & in private): the vintage trims that I sent you were completely washed & dried before sending, the book pages were not moldy, NOTHING had a heavy scent of ANYTHING (since we're apparently shouting here), the template that I used for the envelope was 4"X 6" the minimum requirement for the swap. The decorations followed the theme of vintage housewife. I love the envelope, it's too bad you didn't appreciate it. There is no requirement as to the number of decorations in the swap. There was no need for any 'confrontation,' you could have simply asked for a resend. As for what you believe or don't believe or what you think I was 'spinning' into a story, like I said before, you seem to want to argue. I was done arguing after your last message & said I would resend, I re-iterated this to the swap coordinator. So again, I DIDN'T LIE. I can't explain what the post office may or may not have told you, I only know what they've told me. I dropped this because I also do not wish to argue anymore. I do not have to explain to you or give you any private details of my life, nor do I have to post them here, in public. It's too bad you couldn't have resolved this 'amicably' as you said you would. Since it is now the 7th of August & the swap ended July 20, you said I sent late (apparently 2 days), add time for the mail to get there & then time for all these messages, it has not been 'almost 2 weeks' since I said I would resend. You are reading more into this than is there, but since you are, II feel I can too. I said I would resend, I didn't want to argue anymore, either. I didn't know you wanted an immediate resend. The coordinator did contact me to make sure that I was re-sending & I SAID I WOULD. PERIOD. If you look at my swaps, you will see that I had a number of swaps all at once (since you like thinking the worst of people & playing amateur detective). I also work & have lots of doctor's appointments (& that's not anyone's business). Next time, look up the word 'amicable' first, before you use it & stop acting like everything you've said is reasonble & that I completely unreasonable. Virtually everything I said to youu was calm & non-judgemental, virtually everything you've said is accuzational & you've even resorted to name calling, even while saying you've been 'amicable.' Apparently, you've been looking for someone to destroy & I've been nominated. With everything that's going on in the world, do we really need to waste time arguing like a couple of 6 year olds? I will resend, because I said I would & I AM NOT A LIAR. I doubt this will satisfy you, after a rant like yours, Probably wouldn't have anyway, but I said I would, today. Go ahead & check the postmark.
