Response: I have tried contacting marty and others to make amends for my past flakiness but have been unable to elicit a response. I am doing some angeling and RAOK to "make up" for the past. I need advice. If I have tried to contact those on whom I flaked and cannot get communication going, at what point can I be forgiven and get the 1 off of my record. Or somehow mitigated? I feel ridiculous repeating my explanation for what happened two years ago and how I am trying to make up for it every time I want to join a swap. I realize it is only fair that people know I have a tainted history, but I have two swaps at the top of my list that I cannot mark sent because the recipients won't respond or have not been on Swap-bot for a long time. I feel guilty about what I did two years ago, but the constant reminder is casting a pall on the whole experience. I don't feel right marking them "sent" to get them off my list, but I am tired of being constantly reminded. Can someone "in charge" give me a penance and set me a little bit free? Please? I owe chi chi, WayWardSon, marty and Sherry. I owe two people some handmade cat toys, and two people photos I've taken.
